The New Rules of the Road at Cracker Barrel
Cracker Barrel Updates Employee Travel and Expense Policy
Cracker Barrel has recently implemented revised guidelines concerning employee conduct and expenditures during business travel. According to internal communications obtained by the Wall Street Journal, the company is streamlining its reimbursement protocols with a focus on internal brand loyalty and stricter expense management.
Key Policy Updates:
Dining Requirements: Employees traveling on company business are now expected to prioritize dining at Cracker Barrel locations for the majority of their meals. This mandate applies whenever it is geographically and logistically feasible based on the traveler's schedule.
Alcohol Reimbursement: The company has instituted a restrictive policy on alcohol purchases. Expenses for alcoholic beverages during business trips will no longer be reimbursed unless the employee pays personally, or prior authorization is granted by senior leadership for specific, high-level occasions.
